  • AI Summary: When using AI summarization, the server temporarily fetches page text and forwards the title, extracted text, and link to a third‑party AI service to generate the summary.
  • Cookies/Local Storage: Used only to remember UI preferences; no behavioral tracking or advertising.

4. Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Provide and Maintain the Service: Perform extraction, rendering, data processing, and download (fulfilling your request).
  • Security and Anti‑Abuse: Use rate limiting and minimal logging to keep the service available (legitimate interests).
  • Improve Experience: Optimize performance and UX based on anonymized and aggregated usage data (legitimate interests).
  • Consent‑based Processing: For features that send data to third parties (e.g., AI summary), your active use constitutes permission to process the necessary information.

5. Storage and Retention

  • No Persistent Storage of Converted Content: Input URLs and conversion results exist only during processing and are cleared afterward.
  • Short‑term Technical Logs: Data related to errors and rate limiting may be retained briefly for troubleshooting and security; converted article text is not stored.

6. Data Sharing and Third‑Party Services

  • AI Summary (OpenAI): We use OpenAI models to generate summaries and only forward the information necessary for the feature (title, extracted text, and link). We do not use this data to train our own or third‑party models. Please also review OpenAI’s privacy policy.
  • Web Rendering (local Playwright): PDF/image export is generated via local Chromium rendering; page content is not sent to third parties.
  • External Links: The site may contain third‑party links. When visiting them, please review their privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

7. Cookies and Preferences

We do not use third‑party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. To improve the experience, we only store necessary UI preferences in local storage or cookies. You can disable them in your browser, though some features may be limited.

When using features like AI summarization, data may be processed by third‑party services in their regions. We only transmit what is necessary and use encryption and access controls wherever possible.
